Frequently Asked Questions
When should I eat Chipper?
Whenever! Chipper is great for breakfast, perfect for morning or afternoon tea, pre-gym, or even dessert.
What are chia seeds?
Chia seeds are tiny, edible seeds from the Salvia hispanica plant, a member of the mint family native to Central and South America. They are a nutritional powerhouse, rich in fiber, protein, and omega-3.
Chia seeds have a unique super power. They absorb water and form a natural, fibre-rich gel that has a similar texture to traditional pudding. It's nature's tastiest food hack.
What other ingredients do you use?
We're serious about our ingredients. We eat Chipper every day, so we've worked hard to ensure there's no unnecessary junk in our products. Wherever possible we use organic and Australian-grown ingredients. Real food, super simple.
- Organic coconut milk powder. This is just natural coconut milk evaporated into a powder.
- Organic tapioca maltodextrin. This is a completely natural powder made from dried cassava (similar to sweet potato). It's used to stop the coconut powder clumping.
- Organic Acacia gum. This a natural dietary fibre from the acacia tree - it's literally tree sap!
- Flavours. Depending on the flavour of Chipper, we use real cacao, genuine mango powder, organic raw sugar, or organic monkfruit sweetener.
Do I really have to wait 2 hours to eat my Chipper?
It's best to wait at least 2 hours to allow the chia seeds to fully gel, but if you're OK with a softer consistency you can eat Chipper after 15 minutes.
I think my chia pudding is too runny
If you like a firmer consistency, you can add a little less water.
How long can I keep Chipper in the fridge?
You can make Chipper ahead of time and leave it in the fridge for up to 4 days. If the pudding gets too thick, you can add a little more water, milk or yoghurt to loosen it up.
It's best to add toppings right before eating.
Is Chipper Keto?
Chipper Original Coconut - No Added sugar has less than 4g of carbohydrates per serve.
Are Chipper jars dishwasher safe?
Yes, the jars themselves are dishwasher safe. We recommend handwashing the lids.
